The challenge
A recruitment office wanted to move to Sanad ERP with its whole history in a previous system: thousands of customers, foreign offices, rental workers and years of recruitment and rental orders. The risk in any migration is duplication or loss — a customer appearing twice, or an old order disappearing.
The solution
- Every import was first run without saving, then for real, then run again to prove it adds nothing new.
- A fixed key per record prevents duplicates: customer number, office code, and passport number for workers.
- 7 customers duplicated in the old system were merged instead of being copied twice.
- Past orders kept as a reference exactly as they were: 4,484 recruitment and 2,781 rental orders.
- 8 user accounts moved with their permissions.
The result
The office started on Sanad with its full history: 5,743 customers, 24 foreign offices, 444 worker files and 7,265 past orders, each count matching the source. Details the old system never stored were flagged clearly so the office can complete them from the passport before any contract.
